KMG Automation has successfully completed first phase of the OTS (Operator Training Simulator) Upgrade project for NCOC N.V. The Operator Training Simulation System is a comprehensive tool dedicated to the Kashagan Oil Field Operators Training, which is performed under the supervision of Training Instructors.The Operator Training Simulation System is a comprehensive tool dedicated to the Kashagan Oil Field Operators Training, which is performed under the supervision of Training Instructors. The OTS provides a mathematical high-fidelity model of the process plant, which relies on a vast library of Standard Process Programs, created to teach fundamental plant operation concepts.
Majority of the works were performed by KMGA local engineering team, with the support from center of competence of AVEVA. Main part of the project was executed under COVID-19 restrictions, but join efforts of KMGA and NCOC project teams, such as performing part of FAT remotely, applying effective safety measures for all works carried jointly, resulted in delivery of the project safely, with high quality and on time.
